Sawing
There are many sawing techniques. I will focus on two of them.
First draw where you want to saw. If your using the bandsaw this isn’t necessary
Set the barrier to your desired length
Press the on button
Clamp your material down
Put your handsaw on the material and start making the sawing motion
Now push your material against the barrier and push it trough the saw.
At the end watch out that your material doesn’t break off!

Materials
-Wood
-Metal
-The saw
How is it controlled
There are saws that are completely computer driven, but most of them are controlled by your own skill.
In what industry is it used
Sawing is used in lots of different industries. I think that it’s used the most in the woodworking industry
Existing products that are made with the sawing technique
-wooden furniture
-3D (wooden) sculptures
Interventions
-What if in step 1.2 the barrier would change its angle during the sawing process. So it wouldn’t have the 90 degree angle in the end but 45 fore instance.
-Would it be possible to use (in step 2.3) an round shaped saw. So you can cut an round edge to your material.
I want to challenge myself with an really simple technique so it would be a bit more challenging to come up with interventions. That’s why i chose sawing.
-What if you could change the speed of the bandsaw. Could you create burning marks at curtain places and maybe let the burning marks fade in and fade out.
Tread the machine
Put the needles out that you want to use
Make these e loops around the needles and put the yarn in the carrige
Slide the carrige to the oather side
Put the weights on
Keep on moving the carrige from the left to the right to create your bitter fabric!
